This policy explains, in plain English, what information USA Meats collects through usameats.com and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
USA Meats is a nationwide wholesale supplier of beef, pork, poultry, and seafood. The website and the business are operated by USA Meats LLC, 3501 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20010 (“USA Meats,” “we,” “us”). This site is intended for business buyers such as foodservice operators, distributors, retailers and processors.
2. Information we collect
We only collect information that you choose to send us, plus basic technical information that any web server records.
Quote requests
The header and homepage “Request a Quote” buttons open the pallet request form on this site. That form asks for a listed product, pallets or a full load, a delivery ZIP, the date needed, your company and name, and a phone number or email address. “Email sales” and other email links open your own email program addressed to sales@usameats.com. We receive whatever you decide to include and send, along with your email address.
Email, WhatsApp and phone
When you email us, message us on WhatsApp or call us, we receive your contact details (such as your name, email address, phone number and company) and the content of your message, including any attachments such as specification sheets. WhatsApp is a third-party service; its own privacy policy and terms apply to your use of it.
Credit application
If you apply for a wholesale credit account, the credit application asks for business and financial information, including: legal business name and any DBAs; phone and accounts payable email; bill-to and ship-to addresses; years in business; type of ownership and type of business; Federal ID Number (EIN); Dun & Bradstreet and/or Seafax numbers; owner or officer names and contact details; bank names, addresses, account numbers and bank contacts; trade references; the credit line and payment terms you request; and signatures, printed names, titles and dates.
Buyer updates
If you ask to join our buyer updates, we use your name, company and email address to send you product, sourcing and pricing updates. You can opt out at any time (see Your choices).
Technical information
Like any website, the servers that host usameats.com may automatically record basic request information, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. This information is used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the site.
3. Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Google Analytics records page views and events such as quote-form use and clicks on phone, email, and WhatsApp links. Microsoft Clarity records how the site is used, including clicks and scrolling. These services may set cookies and receive technical information such as your IP address, browser, and the page you visited. We use them to understand how the site is used. We do not use them to advertise to you.
Our fonts and price lists are loaded from our own website. Links to WhatsApp, and email or phone links, take you to other apps or services, which may use their own cookies or tracking under their own policies.
4. How we use information
- To respond to your questions and prepare quotes, pricing and availability.
- To process, confirm, invoice, deliver and support orders.
- To review credit applications, contact the banks and trade references you list, set up and manage your account, and collect payments.
- To send buyer updates you asked for.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records, and to comply with legal obligations.
- To protect our business, customers and website against fraud, misuse and security threats.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run our business:
- Credit review: with the banks, trade references and business credit reporting services named in or related to your credit application, as you authorize on the application.
- Suppliers and logistics: with supply partners, carriers and cold-chain providers, only as needed to quote, fulfill and deliver your order.
- Service providers: with companies that provide services to us, such as email, website hosting, messaging, accounting and payment processing, who may use the information only to provide those services.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, legal process or a government request, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of others.
- Business changes: in connection with a merger, sale, financing or reorganization of all or part of our business.
6. How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including as long as you have an account with us and afterward as needed for business, tax, accounting and legal record-keeping. When we no longer need it, we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we receive and limit access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and regular email is not encrypted end to end. 8. Your choices
- Buyer updates: email sales@usameats.com with “unsubscribe” and we will stop sending them.
- Access, correction and deletion: you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We may need to keep some information to complete orders, meet legal obligations or maintain required records.
- Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional privacy rights. Contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.
9. Children
This site is for business buyers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
